Relationships we love are worth investing in.
Whether you’ve been dating for a year or two, recently got engaged, or have been married for five years with a couple of kids - we all know that good relationships take work.
These couples workshops are designed to partner with dating, premarital and early marriage couples to build skills for healthy, long-term relationship. Couples often arrive to therapy to address concerns about conflict & communication or sex & intimacy. These workshops are designed to help couples address these specific issues early through open and connected conversation, relationship education, and skills based practice.

FAQs

I am passionate about supporting the long-term health and wellness of families through early support of couples with skills for communication and conflict, relational connection and emotional regulation, and courage to dig into topics like sex, race, money, and other difficult and vulnerable areas. A main focus area in my therapeutic work has been partnering with couples to build skills early on that will set them up for success in the long term. I have transferred this therapeutic experience into brief, skills-focused workshops to make what I teach in therapy more accessible to couples who either don't need or don't want to invest in longer term therapy right now.

My workshop content is specifically targeted toward couples who I consider to be in "early" relationships. This means that couples are either dating, engaged, or married within the last 5 years (or so!). If you're not sure if this is you, feel free to reach out and ask!
You will be a good fit for my workshops if you are willing to engage in intentional conversations with your partner and are open to practicing new skills.
I welcome couples of any race, sexual orientation, or faith background.

I will use a variety of tools for teaching content including: lecture-style teaching of content with metaphors & research, facilitation of reflection with your partner, and structured activities to help you and your partner practice skills.
You will be asked to introduce yourself at the beginning of the workshop and occasionally offered space to give feedback after exercises, but otherwise will be predominately interacting with your partner.
